REM Minnesota Expands Offerings in Twin Cities Metro Area

REM Minnesota, a partner of The MENTOR Network, is pleased to welcome staff and individuals served from Tender Loving Care (TLC) Metro to its Minnesota operations. Earlier this month, six TLC Metro group homes in Anoka and Hennepin Counties joined REM Minnesota, enabling REM to expand its group home services for adults with brain injury, mental health challenges and other needs in those communities.
“REM Minnesota is excited to have the opportunity to serve more individuals with brain injury and mental health challenges in the Twin Cities Metro area,” said Connie Menne, Executive Director of REM Minnesota. “Services to the individuals currently residing in these homes will continue uninterrupted as the programs formerly known as TLC Metro transition to REM Minnesota.”
The homes are a good fit with REM’s existing operations, as they support residents in living as independently as possible and pursuing their interests in the community of their choice. Residents receive personalized support designed around their needs and interests, including vocational services, independent living skills training and nursing.
“We believe that everyone, regardless of the challenges they face, deserves the opportunity to live life to the fullest and participate in the everyday rhythms of community life,” said Menne. “Welcoming these programs into our organization helps us further our mission to provide innovative, high-quality services and supports that support growth and independence for the individuals we serve.”
