REM Minnesota’s Harriet Kent Chosen as the DSP of the Day by The MENTOR Network
21 September 2015
REM Minnesota and The MENTOR Network value our Direct Support Professionals and others in direct support for their dedication to those we serve and their critical role in carrying out our mission every day. We are proud to celebrate our DSPs and other employees in a direct support role throughout the month of September.
REM Minnesota’s own Harriet Kent was chosen as the DSP of the Day for September 20, 2015. Congratulations Harriet!
Harriet says, “What I enjoy most about working in a direct support role is that I am able to help the individuals we support on a personal level. One of my favorite things is the breakfast time I share with four ladies we serve, four days a week. They tell various stories, talk about what they are excited about, what they like and don’t like. One of the ladies gets so excited when she talks about camp—you know she had a great time.”
Please take a moment to congratulate and thank Harriet for her commitment to the individuals we serve. You can also learn about our DSP of the Week campaign throughout the rest of the year on The MENTOR Network’s website and Facebook page.
